A rate limit protects a platform from overload and abuse by capping request volume. Credicorp’s public ring uses a fixed window of 60 requests per 60 seconds per IP. Cross it and every further request returns 429 Too Many Requests with a Retry-After header. It is defence-in-depth, not a reliability gate — treat a 429 as a signal to slow down.
Frequently asked questions
Is the limit per key or per IP?
Per IP on the public ring, which has no credential. See Rate limits and 429.
